A FANTASTIC EXAMPLE OF A BOURBON FROM EL SALVADOR
In 1888, Don Rafael Alvarez Lilinde inherited the property where the Malacara estate resides. Don Rafael and his son Samuel began cultivating coffee in 1925, and quickly became known as one of the largest farms in the Santa Ana volcanic region. In 1995, the farm was inherited by three of Don Rafael’s grandchildren, and split into lots A, B, and C. Malacara B is 120+ acres owned by Emma Alvarez.
Malacara B is a fantastic example of a bourbon from El Salvador. This smooth, balanced coffee is hard not to love, with great sweetness and notes of chocolate, orange, and graham cracker.
