Our tasting team called this one a “coffee-coffee,” in the best way. If you want your coffee to taste like coffee, this is a sweet, juicy version of exactly that. Notes of dried plum, macadamia nut and chocolate chips, with sweetness and acidity in even balance.
It’s a washed lot from Costa Rica’s West Valley, the coffee country west of San José around towns like Naranjo, Sarchí and Palmares, and grown between 1,300 and 1,700 meters on Catuai and Caturra trees.
Already a Costa Rica Tarrazu drinker? This is a similar roast level, with punchier acidity. It’s a good next bag for Colombia Huila fans, too. Brew it on drip or French press, or pull it as espresso.
