Kochere is a small district within the renowned Yirgacheffe coffee-growing region of southern Ethiopia, and year after year, it produces some of the most expressive coffees we have tasted. Grown at high elevation in iron-rich, acidic soil just south of the town of Yirgacheffe, these Ethiopian coffee beans develop vibrant acidity, delicate florals, and a clean, tea-like body. This washed lot comes from smallholder producers who deliver ripe cherries to their local washing station, where careful processing preserves clarity and brightness in the cup. Expect notes of peach, bergamot, and black tea in a light roast that’s refined, radiant, and unmistakably Yirgacheffe.

This coffee is roasted daily, Monday – Friday, typically within 24 hours of your order. Orders placed after Friday’s production window roll into Monday’s roast schedule.

This is our favorite coffee! My husband and I live in the Midwest and have been trying many different roasters. Nothing comes close to the rich, vibrant taste of this. At different temps we taste different flavor notes.

Tasty classic profile

Got this through drink trade. On my 4th try can’t dial in the tasting notes using a v60 with care abaca filter. Tried 4:4 and a simple 1+1 brew. Tastes good regardless but can’t get their advertised notes to shine through.
