INCREDIBLY SWEET WITH A CREAMY, GENTLE MOUTHFEEL
We're so happy to feature this uniquely processed offering from Costa Rica for a fifth-year running. In January, our team visited Don Minor's farm, where this coffee is grown. We met three generations of his family and saw how his coffees are processed, fermented, and dried in several different ways. We were blown away by the natural beauty of the high-elevation farm and the way everyone in the family helps out with the coffee processing.
We are particularly fond of this "African-washed" coffee, which is double-washed, similar to how many Kenyan coffees are processed, hence the name. After the initial trip through the washing tanks, the beans, still in their parchment, return for another 24-hour soak before sun-drying. This additional soak lets a bit more fermentation occur, and the result is an incredibly sweet coffee with a creamy, gentle mouthfeel.
This coffee is fantastic however you brew it, but we like it for a fruit-forward shot of espresso or a delicious pour-over!
This is a limited release coffee, which means the number of times we roast this coffee each week is also limited. Orders may be delayed 1-2 days to ensure freshness, and your coffee will be roasted within 24 hours of when your order was placed (or on Monday, if you place your order after we begin production on Friday).
Running out of coffee is no fun! We've put systems in place to ensure you get the freshest coffee possible, shipped as quickly as possible. Most orders roast and ship the following business day.
