Sweet, nutty, and effortlessly drinkable, Uganda Bugisu is a medium-light roast with rich chocolate notes and a subtle hint of red fruit. It’s mellow enough for your daily brew and layered enough to keep things interesting.
This is our first offering from Uganda, a country where coffee grows wild and is still carving out its place in the specialty world. Sourced from smallholder farmers on Mt. Elgon, this lot was processed at one of the few washing stations in the region. Coffee here grows alongside bananas, beans, and peanuts, creating a diverse and vibrant agricultural landscape.
When we received these green coffee samples we cupped them blind, and this lot stood out among the others for how balanced and sweet it is. This coffee shines in a batch brewer or French press making it an easy favorite for both new and seasoned drinkers.
